Beaches
All along the coast of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, there are a total of 29 beaches and coves. Among them are the most famous ones, Playa de San Agustin, Playa del Inglés and Playa de Maspalomas. These three carry the Blue Flag, a distinction given by the European Community to the beaches and tourist areas, which comply with the health, cleanliness, and orderliness requisites imposed by this world organization for recommendation to the public.
